Day 01: Pyramids of Giza, Memphis, Sakkara (L)
8:00 amPick up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and drive to the plateau to see the mighty Pyramids of Giza. Travel to the the viewing platform for a unique photo opportunity with three Pyramids as the backdrop. Take a closer look at the guardian of these pyramids, the Sphinx, while in the valley. Journey to Memphis, the old capital of Egypt These ruins have been well-preserved. This site is home to an open-air museum. Visit Saqqara, the necropolis or ancient burial ground for the ancient capital. Marvel at the Pyramid of Djoser, or Step Pyramid, thought to be the first to be built. After visiting Saqqara return to Cairo where your tour will finish with hotel drop off at approx 4:00 pm. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (drinks are not included).
Day 2: Egyptian musuem, Coptic Cairo, Khan El Khalili (L)
8:00 am Pick up from your hotel. Visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. View the largest and rarest collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry. Journey to Cairo to visit the Hanging church, church of St. Sergius, church of St. Barbara and Ben Ezra Synagogue. The tour will then take you to Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are legendary for fine brass-ware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques and more. Then you will be transferred back to your hotel at approx 4:00 pm. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant (drinks are not included).
